Terms of use
Last updated: October 29, 2026
What they cover
These terms apply to Poti: the Android app, the Windows program and the server that connects them, provided by Orlando Mina. By using any of them you accept these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Poti.
What Poti is
Poti lets you change the volume of each app on a Windows PC from your phone and control what's playing on it. It has no ads.
Your PC and your phones
Only use Poti with computers that are yours or that you have permission to control.
Anyone who enters a valid pairing code can control your PC's sound until you remove them: don't share the code with people you don't want to. Paired phones can be seen and removed in Poti's window on your PC; on the phone, with “Forget this PC”.
Using the server
The server is shared by everyone who uses Poti. You may not:
- try to get into PCs or phones that aren't yours;
- overload the server or get around its limits, such as the ones on connections or pairing attempts;
- use it for anything other than what Poti's app and program do.
If someone breaks these terms
Their PCs and phones may be deleted from the server and their access blocked, without notice when needed to protect the service or other people.
Availability
Poti is provided as is, with no guarantee that it will always work or work without interruptions. The server may stop for maintenance or because of problems, and the service may change or stop being offered. If it stops being offered, this website will announce it in advance whenever possible.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the person responsible isn't liable for indirect damages caused by using Poti or not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer that can't be waived.
Downloading the program
Only download Poti for Windows from this website. The program isn't code-signed: the download page shows its SHA-256 fingerprint so you can check the file is the original.
Privacy
What data Poti uses, where it's stored and for how long is explained in this website's privacy policy.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be published on this page with its date. Continuing to use Poti afterwards means you accept it.
